Bright and clean studio 100 yards from sugar-white beaches. Located in Destin’s most incredible beach-side neighborhood. Not only is this walking distance to the beach, but top restaurants and premiere outdoor shopping, beachside biking/jogging paths, and a corner cafe with live music.

Crystal Beach Retreat is nestled In the quaint neighborhood filled with rainbow cottages, a private gated pool, and has laundry facilities. Whole Foods, Publix, and movies blocks away. Just right for small families, couples, as well as the business traveler or honeymooners. Natural, private pathways surround the Caribbean-style grounds.

It was pretty good.
We never could get the TV to work. Good thing there was a DVD player and we brought a couple of our toddler’s favorite dvd’s. Before you leave you have to strip your bed and bring all your towels and wash clothes down to the laundry room. It’s a pretty good walk to a beach which was barracuda beach. It was actually a private beach but after 5pm there’s no one there to enforce it. Other than that we drove to pompano Joe’s public access beach like 2.5 miles away. You’re RIGHT up your neighbors butts there so no privacy on the balcony at all and if the bathroom door and your shades are open and the neighbors blinds are open, they could see right into the shower. All in all, this room worked for us and served it’s purpose but for the price you could find a condo right on the beach.

The condo was very nice and clean but the balcony door did not work properly and was extremely difficult to open/close. Also there needs to be a full length mirror for dressing. Crystal Beach area is beautiful and quiet. Short walk to the beach was no trouble at all.

This was a great property as far as staying with a you and your partner or a group of guys/girls going down. The part I didn’t care for as a VRBO owner is they didn’t have a smart TV to use at all and the internet was down for the first 3 days. The check in part sucked because we weren’t given our checking until 2 hours prior which sucked when you’re already stressed out from flying and such. It should be given the night before no matter what. The silverware was rummage sale purchased. For what you spend the amenities of the room felt very rummage sale purchased. Would’ve cost next to nothing to buy a nice set of everything including a decent TV. Overall had a great time and it’s a very clean place and it is pretty inside. Just small things that could be addressed, but nothing to not stay over

It was the perfect location for a quick birthday trip for my wife. The beach was right across the street and plenty of things within walking distance. The apartment style room was plenty of space, and the little kitchen made it easy to eat breakfast without any rush. Highly recommend this spot, especially if your looking to avoid a massive condo!

Unit unclean, outdated, and poorly appointed.
Unit had not been updated. Kitchen and appliances in poor operating condition. Had to buy ice, no ice maker or trays to freeze water. Only 2 eyes on stove worked and when turned on, smoked heavily because drip pans so dirty. Limited mismatched dishes and cookware. Bathroom was disgusting with torn up cabinet on vanity and shower reeked of mold and mildew. Floors throughout unit were sticky. Furniture was mismatched and extra bedding was not available. Drapes off rod in one area. Little things that should have been available were not. Three remotes were left with no labeling. Beach chairs were rusted out. Squirrels were in the attic and were very noisy and active. Description stated that beach was 100 yards from unit; more like 300 + yards. Could not see beach from unit.

The stove eyes are all broken.. couldn’t cook any food correctly cause of the stove eyes The sink won’t hold water so you can wash the dishes. The refrigerator doesn’t have a ice maker nor ice trays so when you go to the beach for the day you have to go purchase a bag of ice to put in your cooler. Blind in the bathroom is broke when you get out of the shower anyone can see you. 3 remotes for the TV and none of them operate the TV. Remote for ceiling fan don’t work either. Also the bed needs to be bigger!
