"I have traveled the world with my family, and HIGHLY recommend the Mayleko Lodge. I selected the lodge at random, and was glad I did. The service was incredible. The Hotel Manger paid personal visits to our room to ensure that we were doing well, and in one case noted we were late for breakfast, and offered to arrange room service so we would not miss our breakfast. The Hotel Manger also arranged sightseeing with a very knowledgeable local guide that my son and I very much enjoyed. The Food...

I watched the hostess, Helen, calmly help many very stressed travelers She and the staff went above and beyond. She let me use her phone, since all the airline websites were crashing. "Of all the hotels the i have stayed at all over the world this has been my best experience. If you are planning any excursions please use the travel guide Belay. He is very knowledge about the history past and presnt of this area with reasonable rates."

"The hotel oversees the city and is 30 minutes away from the main attractions. The room was very clean and staff is very friendly. I wish they can supply the bathrooms with shampoos in the future."

"I could not enjoy the property as for the 10 days that I was there most the time I was ill. I think this may have to do with the lack of deep cleaning. Hot water was also an issue. It took several request for a heater. The Wi-Fi never worked."

"It is a very beautiful and quiet place. The rooms are huge and very clean. Beautiful terrace. But the best of all, the staff, expecially the one of the restaurant. I went for Simien for three days and my mother, which doesn't speak English, stayed at the hotel. All the staff took care of her like family! Also the manager, Miracle, was awesome!! Thank you so much! "

"Very friendly and efficient staff. Stunning view overlooking Lake Tana and availability of boat trips. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Only downside was that they visit to the Blue Nile and waterfall wasn't possible due to external influences. "
