"Our group included three young people (ages 18-22) and all of us were incredibly impressed with the lodging itself - a whole charming house - and especially with the location, near the lovely town of Antigonish and very near to a fantastic 4 km long beach (Pomquet Beach) with seals, fir trees, spectacular sunsets, etc. We went in January - not a time in Nova Scotia for the timid - and the house was warm and cozy and the host had the driveway plowed for us as soon as we asked. "Great stay. Beautiful view of the ocean. Peaceful!"

"The house is, technically, as described but there are a few design issues that made it hard to use. The ladder, which is needed to access the loft, blocks the bathroom door. So if you have it in place for climbing, it has to be moved to open the loo door, then moved back to climb back up again. We have stayed in tiny houses before and found them easier to maneuver around. Which would be fine but at this price it should be somewhat more comfy. Caveat Emptor"

"The house is clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated with lots of space. All amenities were available. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable, with a view of the ocean. Large windows and patio for great ocean views. Quiet location that offered scenic drives and was central to other day trips in the area. "

"Perfect place for two couples to relax and enjoy the beautiful harbour! John and Kathryn have thought of everything that you need for a comfortable stay. We loved watching the eagles and other birds from the deck or from the cozy window seat overlooking the water! We would definitely love to visit again!"

"We were two couples touring cape breton; the Collingwood villa was a great place to regroup and rest for 2 days ; place had amazing pristine beach and beautiful sunsets; great spot to visit the local attractions in Mabou and Port Hood . Definitely a must stay if your in the area ; and a bonus wss thw 10 /lbs lobster down tje road "

"What a great little cabin tucked away from it all! We thought we were WAY off the beaten path because of the way we arrived, only to find coming in from the other end of the road was a much closer trip into town. The place was spotless and we loved the privacy. View was outstanding and the private beach was such a treat. Had dinner at the Clove Hitch - delicious. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone traveling to this area. "

"The property worked perfectly for our weekend away. Nice hot tub that was at temperature when arrived. Lots of fire wood for the fire pit. Clean spacious accommodations. Comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend staying here."
