"Operated by very nice woman. However, (maybe its our stupidity) but we found the pictures were deceptive as they are of the region, not immediate area. Area is somewhat run down although quaint. Parking is difficult to find and driving around the neighborhood to find this place and then find parking is a nightmare. The place needs to be fixed up. You walk into an entry area that is a musty basement. There are broken glass panes on the porch/balcony. "

"Maryvonne and Franco have a charming, village house in the historic and beautiful village of Castelnou. The house is simply but tastefully decorated and equipped with all you need for an enyoyable holiday. We made the most of the terrace and the wonderful views, for our breakfast and evening "sundowner". Woody, our Border terrier, loved sitting at the open floor to ceiling height doors, of the main bedroom, taking the breeze and looking for roaming goats in the surrounding hills. Castelnou...

"Incredibly remote and rural location with the best located pool I've experienced! (light salt water too which was lovely) Very helpful and pleasant owners (Francoise & Giacomo) who also left us in private. We were looking for a few tranquil and relaxing days with access to coast/towns and mountains during the day - this surpassed our expectations! very ecological with solar power etc. Tip; take a swim or sit by the pool after dark, the sky at night is breathtaking - highly recommended."

"Der Pool war nicht zu benutzen! Das Wasser war grün, Dornen und Blätter am Boden... Die Pumpe ging 2 mal kaputt und wurde nicht richtig repariert. Die Vermieter weigerten sich die Kaution zurück zu zahlen, trotz Übergabe ohne Beanstandungen ihrerseits. Anbieter(interhome) meldet sich, trotz wöchentlicher Rückfragen, nicht. Ansonsten OK. Schönes Haus, tolle Gegend. Steile Treppen in Haus und Garten! Viele Fliegen"

"Fijne, nieuwe, grote woning. Wij hebben alvast genoten van een fijne vakantie. Goede locatie om de buurt zowel met de auto als met de fiets te verkennen. Aanraders: Collioure, Cadaqués, Girona, Paulilles, kustweg tussen Banyuls-sur-Mer en Cap de Cerbère. Misschien een kleine tip voor de eigenaars van de woning? In de badkamer en toilet, een klein vuilbakje en een groot handdoekenrek beneden in de badkamer."
