"First, the host Alex, is incredible! Stayed in contact before, right after we checked in to be sure all was good and right after we checked out. GOLD star Alex!! The property was incredible! Nice surprise was the soft water system. Fire pit was very nice as well. Kitchen well appointed and clean. Memory foam mattresses and extremely comfortable. Property secluded and private. All in all…6 stars in my book!!"

"We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Loved being able to watch the sun rise from our bedroom balcony and then watch the sunset from the front porch. Loved seeing the cows walk down to their watering hole and especially enjoyed watching Jasper their horse roam the pasture. We would stay again the next time we are in the area. "

"this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. "We enjoyed this little piece of heaven. This fulfilled all that we were looking for. All the area outside was so peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely go back."

"My husband and I stayed here with our dogs the week after our wedding and it was the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature and decompress. We took advantage of everything this property has to offer and more. Great hiking nearby and on the property itself. Very clean and comfortable as well. Owner was very easy to reach and checked in on us periodically. Easy to find if you follow the directions! We would love to stay here again! "

The cabin was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a 3-day getaway. "Another mom and I spent two nights in the Alone Mill Schoolhouse while our sons enjoyed a weekend tour of VMI. The house was close to campus and offered all the conveniences we needed.
