"Our little family had an amazing stay at Riff. The beach is beautiful, rooms are good (the cleaning of the rooms is super!), food is delicious! You can hear the waves from the ocean which is so nice to fall asleep to. You can go see the turtles and Turtle beach (5 minute Tuk Tuk), and snorkling. The staff is incredible and our 7 month baby Charlie was so well taken care off (they even fixed food for her!). Special thank to Benischa and the gang in the restaurant, Charlie misses you already! "We stayed at this hotel in November and enjoyed it very much. Our room was spacious and we had a pool/sea view. The room was cleaned every day. The food was very good with plenty of choice. Very novel getting the boat across the lake to the hotel."

"One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at (and we travel a lot!). Definitely recommend the room with the private plunge pool (which includes your own personal butler). INCREDIBLE view to wake up to in the morning and you won't regret it! Also the restaurant is so good, we ate every single meal there and couldn't get enough of the food. They made excellent local Sri Lankan dishes with so much flavor and spa. Spa services were also excellent! We will definitely be coming back!"

"We stayed 4 nights. Absolutely wonderful! Here you get a high-class hotel with a consistently high level. Very nice, well-renovated/built rooms with a high standard, wonderful hotel/pool area, walking distance to the wonderful beach where the hotel also offers sunbeds free of charge, well-stocked gym and much more. large breakfast buffet, both international and local. The service level is incredibly high where you want to give that little extra all the time. High professional service level on everything from cleaners, reception to bartender and the service staff who take care of the pool/towels. They usually know what you will ask for before you do it. such as wifi passwords to adapters to charge your mobile phone. We can highly recommend this luxury gem! "Check in time 2pm up to 3.30pm room not ready after I arrived they said cleaner clean the room. Checked in floor and bathrooms are wet. And lift out of service use the stairs all the time. No responsible for anything. When checked out time the keep asking what time going to check out. Resultant and bars are expensive "

"The bedsheets and mattress were wet and some moist smell was coming. One half of the bathroom sliding door was broken. The beds are very small for twin beds’ size. There was no proper process/queue for check-in. It was not managed properly and anyone was coming in between and was checking in. The hotel seems to be overcrowded. The beach was not accessible. There were stones and fisherman boats were there which made the water smell oily and bad. The only good thing in hotel was swimming pool and food. I tried calling reception to get my room upgraded or changed but the number call was transferred and disconnected eventually. Not sure how it is rated as 5 star. Overall we had a really bad experience, not at all worth the money we spent. "
