"WE loved the Backyard Hotel. We wanted a beachfront hotel that had local flavor and that is exactly what it was.We could just sit on the balcony and watch the waves. Just a few steps down and you were on the beach.It was peaceful and quiet and away from all the noise and crowds. The staff were always very helpful. "

"This is a perfect location to serve as a launching point for the hot springs, waterfall, and national park. The rooms are simple, offering a bed, shelves, and hot water. The food was spectacular... The prices were more than fair, with large portions. The entire lodge has beautiful vegetation and a very friendly staff. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fuego del Sol! The staff was so kind, friendly, and helpful! We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. Our room was cleaned daily! The pool area was great and the food and service amazing! We would definitely stay here again!"

"This place is so pretty and right on the beach. The pool is nice and the garden area great to sit and have coffee or drinks. The staff are super friendly too! The cherry on top is that they are pet friendly. Our dog had a great time. "

"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. My room was unexceptional and I expected better for the price. The location in Mario Antonio is private and secluded with excellent security. If traveling with young children and planning to stay put, it would work very well. If easy access to other areas, or to the public beach or park in Mario Antonio, is a priority then it's an inconvenience that needs to be planned for. "
