"Stayed in 6/8 sleeping chalet. Has 3 bedrooms 2 with 2 singles, 1 small room with bunk bed. Lounge area very small. Would not recommend for more than 6. Well equipped it tiny kitchen area part of lounge. No oven. But dishwasher, fridge with small freezer. Microwave with grill. Lots of pots, pans, cutlery, peeler, bottle opener, etc. Checking in strange as reception does not open until 3pm weekends 5pm weekdays. Do not get there before as you will not get your room key! "lovely friendly helpful staff, and the gentleman that was on reception when we arrived was most welcoming cheerful and spoke excellent English. the hotel is well located 2 mins walk to shops restaurants and bars and the town itself is about 10 min drive to ski slopes. the hotel was clean comfortable and charming with a superb restaurant, some parts in need of a little up-dating but overall depicts its architectural decade, and the musical entertainment and free aperitif was most enjoyable!"

"The Gran Carlina is well situated in town and had free parking which was a bonus. The exterior of the hotel is in a very bad condition and needs major renovation. We were seriously concerned what the inside would be like! The interior was better but dated and a little tired, the same with the bedroom but it was clean. "The people running the hotel are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The hotel itself is older and the room was small but it was also inexpensive. They ask us not to flush the toilet or shower after 10pm, because the plumbing is old, but it is disclosured up front. The town is nice and the area beautiful. We hiked a lot."

"The hotel section (there's a connected restaurant across the road) was tidy, modern, warm and well decorated. We had booked a 'mountain view' room, but were given a lake view room at no extra cost, and which saved us an extra flight of stairs to carry bags. The manager, who greeted us, was very friendly, helpful, and even insisted on helping us with one of our bags going upstairs.
