"You can't beat the location of this hotel and the convenient access to top hiking trails. The staff and dining are excellent. I have stayed here twice and my only complaint is that the mattresses are uncomfortable. "

"Be prepared for no elevator and tipping a bellhop to carry your luggage up the stairs. No modern conveniences in the room and WiFi was spotty. NO TV. Two beds, a desk and two chairs. No air conditioning but a fan was provided. Only six hangers in the closet. People over six feet will have to bend over to take a shower. Windows too high for a 5' 5" person to see out of. Public spaces classy but what you would expect for a 110 year old lodge. Two nice but expensive restaurants and the ambience was...

"The east side of glacier is a great place to stay to be close to many of the best trailheads. St Mary Village did not disappoint. Worked out very well for us."

"Nice hotel; friendly front staff. Overpriced but limited choices and closest option to GNP during low-season. Requested quiet room and there were few guests at the time, yet was put right beside another occupied room with the rest of the floor likely mostly empty. Could easily hear those guests come in very late, even just talking, laughing, playing TV; understandable to have noise in hotels with thin walls but, would have been more ideal and thoughtful to have guests set apart when there are...
