"Although it’s unassuming when you arrive the back of the property is beautiful, with a terrace, pool and riverbank. Great start, great dinner and breakfast, spotlessly clean room. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer."

First of all, Montmorillon is a charming little gem in the southeastern part of Vienne, and is perfect for an overnight excursion or as a stopping point when traveling across France … and La Bicyclette Bleue is the perfect place to stay. It is located just minutes on foot from the center of Montmorillon and everything you want to see and do is easily accessible. The owners are also just lovely people, who know how to make you feel welcome and give you your space...

"Lovely old house, very comfy with nice sized rooms, the home cooked food I had on my first night was excellent. Nice hosts who attend to what's needed but also leave you be so you feel you have privacy and solitude. Nice location for getting into Le Dorat. "

"Following a pleasant check in, our room was small uninteresting and dirty. After complaining we were give a slightly better room. but again the level of cleanliness was appalling. As it was late we unfortunately had to stay the night, but could not wait to leave early the next morning."

"An excellent host in an amazing setting. It is very isolated, dinner must be organised the day before directly with the owner. If not nearest restaurant is 10km away, however this is excellent and well worth a visit. Breakfast first class."

"Excellent séjour dans un hôtel familial plein de charme. L'accueil était si chaleureux que nous avons pu profiter d'un apéro avec les propriétaires et les autres clients ! Les chambres ont été récemment rénovées avec soin. Il s'agit d'une ferme qui est toujours active, donc nous avons pu voir des poules, des paons, même des kangourous se promener dans le domaine, et le miel des abeilles de la ferme était servi avec le petit déjeuner. Merci à toute l'équipe et à très vite !"

"This was a peaceful place with a lovely hostess who gave us some eggs from her hens. There is a tiny table with two chairs outside the door and a larger space with garden furniture under a canopy further down the garden, although this would be more comfortable if it could be contrived to put it on level ground. The living space was fine for two people."

"Notre hôte a été extrêmement sympathique , prévenant ( gestes de bienvenue que nous avons beaucoup appréciés ) et disponible . La maison est personnalisée, très bien décorée, agréable,. L'emplacement pour nous était idéal par rapport à l'endroit ou nous nous rendions."

"Terry and Jacqui are such welcoming hosts! The Walnut Tree Gite is the perfect peaceful haven, with a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area. We intend to return again to stay and enjoy their company!"

"Rien à redire à part qu'il serait bien de préciser que nous allions à 7 dormir dans le même chalet. L'image des deux chalets était un peu trompeuse. Pour un weekend c'est faisable, sur un temps plus long c'est impossible."
