"This was a spontaneous get-away to visit the ocean beaches with our little dog. We lucked out with clear skies: sunny days and moonlit nights. We love the Yachats area for its natural beauty.Tillucum Motel has been in existence for a long time and has architectural features from the 50's that we really liked e.g. the wall next to the tub/shower was largely thick glass cubes that let in the sunlight. "This property at the fireside is beautiful and easy to find, and the ocean view is spectacular. The staff provided excellent service, and the gift shop was lovely, with charming gifts and collectibles and invaluable information about tourist attractions. I gave it four stars instead of five because the DVD player overwhelmed the system and would go off every 15 minutes, and there was beeping throughout the night from the refrigerator.
