"Vacances très agréables en dehors du gite. Pas assez de précisions sur l annonce concernant l accès au gîte qui est très dangereux à cause des escaliers. Gîte fait seulement pour les personnes très en forme."

Tricky to find, even with the help of some good men in St Andre de Vizines, the effort was exponentially rewarded. "A most enjoyable stay at a very well presented residence set in a very peaceful and tranquil location. Unfortunately use of the pool was limited due to the frequent thunderstorms but the host can't be held accountable for that. Access to a vehicle is essential in order to venture out to the surrounding areas. One small suggestion is to provide guests with a list of suggested activities and restaurants in the area and places of interest worth visiting. How to use a halogen hob and even where to...

A few points I feel are worth making - I hope you’ll take them in the spirit they are offered: Lounge seating a bit uncomfortable. Pool clearly has a leak and needed topping up daily. "The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful with dining recommendations - but I want to particularly thank the lady behind the desk on the night we arrived. I didn't catch her name, but she was friendly, helpful with dining recommendations and kind enough to store some things of ours in the hotel fridge when we realized there was no fridge in the room. A really pleasant stay in a fascinating little town. No lift to the rooms, so folks with difficulties with stairs may have issues."
