"It was our second stay at The Holiday Inn Hotel in Southend and it was excellent. Easy check in, all staff were friendly and excellent service. The room was a very good size and was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom with fabulous smelling toiletries. Everything you would need was in the room including a safe. The breakfast was excellent so much choice. Easy parking at the hotel cost £10.00 a night. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Does exactly what it says on the tin. On the seafront, 5 mins walk to the centre of town. Certain rooms have both sea views and a north facing balcony big enough to sit out on. Rooms on the small side but cosy and comfortable with a good shower. Good wi-fi. Friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Small first-come-first-served-after-1pm car park for guests, otherwise nearby municipal car parks of varying hourly charges (see Parkopedia). "Staff were very friendly and check-in/out was smooth. Beds were a bit small for two people (doubles) but clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The shower is an over-bath type but is powerful and you get a great shower. Although the rooms are large, they are very dated and showing their age. If they were to be given a makeover they would be excellent rooms. The bar are is welcoming and the food looked really good."
