"Everything was great about this place. Super clean, right in the beach, and close to downtown and the casino. There was just one really odd element- I tried to buy a bottle of wine at the bar downstairs to take up to my room, and this seemed to be a big hassle. The bartender had to call some one to find out how to ring it up and the tried to give me 4 glasses- I can’t imagine it’s a foreign concept for someone to want a bottle of wine in their room. "

"Although near the beach, the hotel is not on the beach, as it appears in the photos. Rooms are renovated but very simple, smelly toilet area and shower-head that sprayed on the ceiling. Not a bad stay, but definitely not a 4-star hotel, 3-star at best. Not worth the price, unfortunately. "

"Location was great for exploring Caen. The staff is young, energetic and friendly. Very positive hostel experience. Young people and family friendly place. Nice to have options for breakfast, dinner or just a cocktail/ wine at The People. I will for sure check out other locations of The People and my kids will too. "

"What a delightful hotel. The rooms were modern, stylish, clean as a whistle and well equipped. The building is equally stylish and well maintained. We didn't eat in the dining room as it was very busy but crossed the road to a restaurant clearly popular with the locals where I enjoyed the best Cafe Gourmand of my life, for a very reasonable price. We could only stay for a single night but, if I'm in Normandy again, especially if I arrived off the evening boat into Le Havre, it would be my first...

My daughter with a new born baby requested a late check out and was prepared to pay but was told ‘ no we don’t do that ‘ very bruskly ! Really ?! Most hotels do late check out options . Not good "

"All was well. Except for two things For an hotel of this class there should be USB ports to charge phones and ipads in the room. There weren’t and it wasn’t easy to recharge. The plugs weren’t firm enough to stand the plug converters and there was no surface near the bed or near a table. The staff was very helpful but some looked like students who were a bit at sea. Maybe think about more training? But except for this, all was fine"

"This hotel is nice. Nice location which just take 5mins walk to the car park. Located in the city centre where you can walk everywhere within 15- 20mins. The most important thing is the staff/owner ‘s family are superb nice. Highly recommended ❤️"
