Holiday Rentals in Northern Region

"Staff helpful early breakfast on last day. Room spacious. Good good bed. Shower nice except one day when little water. Secure place. Parking. Weaver birds nesting above the little cottage where my room was. They did not seem to be expecting us but sorted out so all well. Breakfast good and i ate al a carte in the evening and food ok. Arua is distant so good to be able to find a reasonable hotel to stay which met our needs. It is quite expensive for the best rooms"

Pictures show larger rooms with balconies, why my room was extremely small, no balcony, just a window overlooking where the kitchen staff was prepping food, and a bathroom so small the door only opened half way. This is my second time staying here and both times, the room was not as shown online. "

"The only bad hotel experience we had in Uganda. Upon arrival, the night receptionist could not find trace of our booking (ok, this can happen) but addressed the situation very disrespectfully. First, by suggesting that we may be liars or in the wrong hotel. When the manager joined us and after again long discussion, he called the IT who drove to the hotel, and who acknowledged it was their mistake not ours. Yet, despite this the manager kept us waiting until the IT solved the problem with hotels.com. All together we waited 1h30 before being allowed to check in and of course they offered nothing, not even a beverage, and barely apologized. After that we were assigned a room but it had only 1 person equipment (we were 2). The room had no windows, and was extremely noisy, with hotel staff yelling in the corridor from 7 am. We were also told we had only 1 breakfast included (not 2) and had to insist to the manager so that he gave both of us breakfast, which was by the way below average. Beside that, the room was clean, correctly equipped, shower was good with hot water and good pression (rare in Uganda). But again no windows.. In short, the hotel is a 5/10 but the incompetence of the manager and the staff makes it a 3/10."
