The apartment is nice and comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy the view. I would recommend getting there during the day since it can be a bit tricky at night. Pay attention to the fact that there are 3 flights of steps to climb, but if steps are not a problem, the view is totally worth it!!!"

"Fabio was extremely discrete and helpful to us during our stay. He made life easy with a detailed "instruction manual" that explained everything we needed to know to about the house, from check-in to check-out. The location is fantastic and the private parking spot is super handy. We spent many evenings on the pier just staring at the lake. "We had a great stay. Communication was excellent. They answered questions at all hours to help us get the most out of our travel. It was really a very beautiful place to stay. Only downside was the church bells that rang late and early and the rooster that woke you up each morning."

"Instructions for check in were detailed and we had no problems. We were able to find a parking spot in the garage but be warned there are only a few and it's first come first serve. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. The location is in Fiumelatte, a 20-ish minute walk to Varenna which we were happy to do every day. The apartment amenities are basic but fine and comfortable and clean. My only real complaint is there was no Wifi network as advertised. And I did not hear back when I...

"The location of this property is perfect. It’s in the main plaza and not to far from the water. 12 minute walk to the ferry & train station. However, they have limited office hours which complicates things if you are getting in pretty late. Grabbing the keys from their office and walking another 12 mins to the actual property was pretty inconvenient (especially if you have luggages). The actual property is really nice and small, good for couples. "

"The property had a wonderful, spectacular view. The access to a garage was nice and convenient. Loved all the space in the apartment. Did not like the drive up all the winding roads. Also did not like having the first garage. Parking in it was a hassle from the steep slope and narrow driveway. "

"Apartment has everything even washer and dryer, comfortable beds, and a large deck with beautiful views! A little far from the town and boat dock to walk but we did it anyway and even in the pouring rain. We would stay there again "

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"It was clean and comfortable. The instructions on how to get there were very helpful. They were very accommodating and helpful. Would stay again."

"I hate to leave poor ratings but feel it needs to be said. 1) lights would not work so we discovered circuit breaker had been tripped. We had to flip the circuit several times on the first night because usage of lights and the fan caused outages. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a known problem. 2) shower drain overflowed within a couple of minutes. Water went all over bathroom floor and down wall into first floor. Right along the electrical panel, probably why it is constantly tripping....

Great Italian town in beautiful Lake Como

"Apartment was clean, comfortable and fully equipped. The view of Lake Como from the balcony is exquisite. Breakfast was excellent and Rita was a great host. The croissants were the best we've ever had! The walk up and down the path to the town issues but walkable."

Good base for Lake Como

"I had a great experience staying at BnB Casa Nini. The location is good for hitting key cities in the Lake Como area, with train and ferry access. The facilities are clean and well-kept. The room was spacious and comfortable. The host is friendly and accommodating - he will provide any information you need regarding ferries, local recommendations, and train service."
