"The hotel is in a great location to visit the Orang Utans and Sun Bears. Its a relaxed hotel and the staff are really friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was great! Negatives - wifi is hit and miss so card payments not always possible. No ATM nearby but we changed cash at a nearby hotel. "Hotel Sandakan met our needs for a one night stay. The beds were comfortable and the AC kept things quite cool. As I expected, the hotel is older and as such a bit run down. The free breakfast had ample selection for our family. For a short trip, I would stay here again. "
