"We spent 4 nights at this lodge between 28Dec-1Jan and it was excellent. From check in to check out the process was seamless and we had everything we needed. Lodge was cozy, clean and warm and the bathrooms had actually been updated so were newer and nicer than the pics. Area was lovely and quiet. Had a carvery at the Cider barn restaurant about 5 min drive away and we drove into Weston Super Mare (20 mins) and got wristbands for the pier and did ice skating. "Thank you! We had a such a lovely time - amazing property, very warm and roomy and beds in quirky places, plenty of towels and great communication from the host, especially about us hiring a spa specialist to come to the property for chilled hen do spa treatments. Handy having 4 designated car parking spaces. Thank you so much! "

"Well equipped and spotless property. Yes the stairs are steep but manageable."

"The property is in a stunning location and is well maintained. However there was a lot of dust behind the TV and you know the places that are harder to access so it could do with a deep clean. In addition the number of plates cups sources provided his only enough for one per person which means that we had to wash up or put the dishwasher on and wait for this to finish before our next meal. This was limiting in what we could do in the kitchen and limited our days options."

"This accommodation was perfect for my partner and I who needed to be in Cheddar with our dog for a couple of nights. The accommodation was as pictured, the shower was hot and powerful, the kitchen had 2 electric hob rings/microwave and fridge. All the required utensils for simple cooking, tea, coffee and sugar . Logs for the wood burner were also provided."

"We were all very impressed with the place, for a huge property it was exceptionally clean everywhere and filled with everything you need. Bigger with some older style rooms, it gave a great feel for hide and seek. It provided a good base for all of us to hang out together whilst giving some space, great for games and a couple walks in the area. We really enjoyed our cold pond dips followed by warming up in the hot tub. This was already warmed up for us on arrival and lots of wood and starters...

"11 of us / 3 generations descended on Axbridge to celebrate my mother’s 90th. What a super weekend! Culminating in a wonderful dinner in the formal dining room which was spectacular. We like to cook - and the Kitchen is large and well equipped for big parties. A lovely setting in a lovely village / area. The host was charming and very accommodating. "

"Amazingly spotless, lots of room. Every room had a wow factor. Our first stay in a luxe Lodge and it didn't dissapoint. Slight issue with ants on the last day after the grounds maintenance but it's expected and spray was provided. Hot tub clean and ph checked every day. Reception were happy to help when we realised the first aid kit was missing and there was a cut finger. Brought it round straight away (in their defence we did decline the final check of the housekeeping team as we arrived...

"Very comfortable stay here, lovely spacious room (just a basic double) and good size bathroom. A little tired looking in areas however clean and comfortable, can’t fault it. Staff are friendly and helpful, excellent WiFi, plenty of parking. We ate evening meal, it was a Sunday so roast dinner and it was lovely. Varied menu for Mon to Sat, good choice and reasonable prices. Breakfast was varied and excellent quality. We will most definitely stay here again, great value for money."
