"A very handy & convenient place to stay. Beds were fine & shower pressure was fantastic. A little warm in the evenings but cooled off nicely for sleeping. Host was available for any questions & very kind."

"This property was really nice and close so that you could walk to restaurants and stores. Very clean and quiet. Only two suggestions....1. Update pillows and possibly mattress. 2. New procedure to open gates and doors is a 6 digit code. This is to help with security. But kids has access to the grounds and also can reach over the door and open it without the code. Not as secure as it should be. "

"This was the perfect location for our stay. We were a 1 mile drive from Magic Sands Beach and 1 mile drive to local shopping, dinning and entertainment! While we chose to drive everywhere, the location is totally walkable to all the attractions. Also, before booking I read reviews, and apparently other condos do not have AC. This one DOES have AC. "Property itself was very nice but the unit was older and was in need of some updates and repairs; cupboard doors did not close properly, stains and tears on sectional, ice maker broken on fridge etc… Also found nail clippings on the bathroom floor. Minor things, the pools and grounds were very nice though and we spent more time outside anyways."

"Truly an amazing experience - beautiful remote property that’s walking distance to Black Sands Beach - plenty of sea turtles and just gorgeous views with next to no one around. "The location was excellent. You could walk out to multiple shopping and dining options. Our unit was well furnished in kitchen and beach acutriments. The bed was not comfortable. And putting a sqishy piece of foam on a mediocre matress does not help. Sheets and coverings lumped up and slid around. And a small item, but for this price you shouldnt need to but TP. But overall we liked it. Beach chairs, coolers, swim fins, beach towels all there."

"Been to area numerous times but always stayed in a resort. thought it might be nice to stay near all the restaurants along the beach. That part was great, walking along the beach and finding new eating experiences. Main negative was parking. Not nearly enough spots for each room to park. there is roadside parking but limited. We got there. in evening and had to park in a sketchy lot a block or so away.. Room was adequate for the two of us and comfortable. "

"We had an excellent experience in this condo. The location is perfect, the amenities of the condo and complex provided any thing we could ask for. It was so nice traveling from North Carolina to arrive and have some of the essentials a family needed. When we return we will stay here again."

"Hale ‘Ohe (the name of the home) is a wonderful place to stay. Superb location with a small public beach park adjacent to the South. Walk North across the lawn of the complex and access a quiet two block road into town. Much nicer than walking busy Ali’i Drive. We would book again."

"The view from the condo lanai was amazing. The condo had everything we needed: beach chairs, beach towels and snorkeling gear. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The bedroom is on the street side of the building with the windows open this makes it a bit noisy for sleeping. If you like to walk or run, the location is great but stores are a little far if youjust want to grab a cup of coffee.The owner was very attentive and easy to contact. I would recommend this condo.contact. "

"The resort is beautiful on the ocean. The staff are fantastic and friendly. Originally we booked a “resort view” which was actually a parking lot view. Very disappointing. We talked to the staff and they confirmed that resort view is a view of the parking lot. We upgraded to an ocean view and couldn’t be happier. I only wish it was clear when booking what we were getting when we reserved a “resort view”. "

"Great hotel in the heart of Kona! Walkable to Kona Brewery, shopping, and more. Parking was paid but super convenient at the hotel. Rooms were large, clean, and had great amenities. Breakfast was the perfect way to start the day and every staff member we interacted with was kind and professional. We'll be back on our next trip to Big Island!"

Kona Palace Get-Away

"We loved our stay at the Kona Palace. The house is well maintained and beautifully furnished. Rebecca and her husband her very warm and welcoming. The breakfasts prepared by Rebecca each morning are delicious and feature fruits, as well as jams and preservers, all of from their own garden. We were introduced to the "soursop" fruit dueing our stay therem which was very tasty.The terracew where breakfast is served offers a breathtaking view of Kealekekua Bay. This is such a quiet and peaceful area, a real departure from the hustle and bustle of Kailua-Kona. There are a few local restaurants as well as local beaches and snorkeling spots. If you want to truly get away from it all, this is the place! We thorougly enjoyed out stay at Kona Palace and look forward to returning."
