"Trout Lake has been an annual summer trip for us for the last 7 years and this house is our favorite rental by far. The cottage is cozy, but well appointed. We love the extensive waterfront in this beautiful cove and spend most of our time on the pontoon, in kayaks, hanging out on the dock or in the game room, and playing in the beautifully clear water. This year there were brand new kayaks to use and a new paddle board! The pontoon is incredibly easy to use and provides tons of fun out on the...

"We stayed at the Cedar house and the queen bed in the loft area was phenomenal. Had a bit of a hard time with the shower, couldn’t get the water to regulate to warm, was either very hot or very cold. Other than that, we had a nice stay. "

"This was such a great getaway. Hosts were fantastic. Recommended Jake’s on the lake for dinner - couldn’t have been happier. Our accommodations were incredible - many subtle touches that made our stay that much better. The outside space is terrific and the screened-in back room was awesome. "This property looks exactly as stated in the descriptions, as well as in the photos. The space is well thought out and amazing. We came in to visit our son who goes to SUNY Potsdam. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed many of the outdoor amenities. We invited his friends over to enjoy a home-cooked meal, to play some pickleball, and to make smores! A well-deserved break from campus life. THANK YOU, Beth and Jim. "

Stay on the St. Lawrence River, Ogdensburg, NY

"This stay was a homecoming for me, since my parents had lived right on the St. Lawrence, and nearly the entirety of my late mom's family still live nearby. The area is largely agricultural, with many dairy farms and green pastures. It is a truly beautiful part of NY State and we were very much looking forward to getting back there to visit. We were not disappointed. The property is very nice -- extremely clean and well maintained, with a GREAT bed! The property owner, Ali,is extremely pleasant and was more than helpful. Since he lives above the property he was readily accessible through the contact number. When we found that the coffee machine was not working on our first morning, he provided us with another machine within a few hours. My only issues with the property were that the drain in the shower always backed up and that it was also quite cold in the bathroom (more on this below), so we only showered a few times. We never reported the blocked drain, which I realize now we should have done. Heat for the entire property, which is quite large, with the bathroom located quite far from the heat source, was provided by one very large (propane) gas space heater, which scared me somewhat because of an odd-looking -- repair?-- on the heater's gas supply line. I don't know what can be done about the cold bathroom; I will mention it to Ali. Nevertheless, a wonderful stay in a very clean, nice space with a GREAT bed! I can only recommend a stay here!"
