What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows. "Not a lodge/hotel but a 2 room apartment. 3rd floor walk up using narrow stairs; no elevator. Great location. Small but adequate balcony overlooking main street of Zermatt. Noisy bedroom until 10:00 PM. With occasional noisy groups passing below until 2:00. Internet connection terrible, very intermittent. Living room tiny. Extra charge for cleaning. Would not recommend "

"We really enjoyed our stay in this authentic farmhouse. The decorations and woodwork were amazing. Comfortable beds and, despite being an older home, all the modern conveniences. The location is in a beautiful community and we loved our walks through the town. A bit of a language barrier for us with the gentleman living there (we, unfortunately, do not speak French or German), however, there was prompt and excellent communication with the owner. Took a day trip to Mt Blanc and another day trip...
