"Overall this is a cute, clean and convenient motel. Downsides are two things: First it's next to a commercial cement plant that is noisy in the morning. Second there are numerous drywall repair patches that were not even sanded before painting, baseboard and trim that is unfinished, tilework in the bathroom that is really bad and just an overall feeling of poor remodeling that appears the owners believed was "good enough". I would likely stay in Crawfordville next time unless their other rooms...

"I had a wonderful week at this property, despite the weather not cooperating as Florida weather is supposed to. It was serene and relaxing to sit overlooking the river. I enjoyed biking, kayaking, and hiking, all with my German Shepherd. Carolyn was an excellent hostess, very attentive and easy to communicate with. St. Mark's Retreat was just what I was looking for. I definitely plan to return! Thanks, Carolyn!"

"Weekend getaway with family. Great location with beach just right up the road. Not far from things we planned to do. House was very clean and spacious with great amenities and cool decorations. We enjoyed the dock and loved the back porch. We’ll definitely return! "

"FIRST IMPRESSION WAS THE EXTRA LARGE PORCH, FOR OUR VIEWING PLEASURE OF THE OCEAN FRONT. THE PORCH WAS LIKED BY ALL : WIFE AND DOG. THEN ENTER A SPACIOUS OLD FLORIDA COTTAGE, EXCEPTIONLY CLEANED AND DECORATED, DOWN TO EVERY DETAILED ITEM NEEDED, TO INCLUDE A QUIET RELAXING TRIP. THE HOST WAS TOP NOTCH, AND VERY THOUGHTFUL TO DETAIL . THE STAY WAS ACCOMMODATING FROM HOST TO THE COTTAGE."
