" The location was great if you want a quiet place and close to the river. We enjoyed walking down to edge and watching the water. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. The camper was very clean. Kimberly and her husband were very nice and helped with the few little problems that we had. We really enjoyed our stay there."

Great fenced yard but as I stated, no privacy. Homes close by even in backyard. Fine for families who want to visit from out of town visiting Busch Gardens/Water Country and CW as backyard is entertaining and home is affordable. Just not what we were looking for. "Gorgeous quiet property, clean and well appointed with additional small touches to make for a lovely welcome and stay (eg coffee to get started, shower gel/soap, clocks in bedrooms, nightlights, railings for stairs into property which was really helpful having my 87yr mother with me who has some mobility challenges). Wonderful (lit) dock to enjoy, watching the world (and egrets!) go by. Fabulous local country store nearby and a great central location for exploring the area. Very responsive host....

"This secluded hideaway cabin is obviously a home with years of accumulation of entertainment and home away from home necessities. Despite its age, it was incredibly clean. If vacationing in the Williamsburg area, the ferry is fun and adds to the “family entertainment”. Although the commute is a hike, the home feeling rather than commercial hotel is absolutely worth the trade off. The hostess was available to respond to any questions. "We had a wonderful time staying at this home. We were a group of 12 ladies getting away for a girls weekend. This place was perfect, we did not leave for 3 days! Pickleball, paddle boarding, hot tub, and the arcade kept us busy. We were also able to go on long walks in the area. Plenty of room for everyone and a nice large kitchen to cook meals in and just hang out!"

"My family gathered at this property to celebrate the birthdays of our 2 kids. 3 of us stayed on property and others traveled to join us for the day. Beautiful property! It is clean and well kept. Our labrador retreiver particularly loved the access to water at the next door boat launch. The downstairs apartment has a GREAT game room. We enjoyed playing air hockey, pool, video games, and watching sports on the enormous TV. We also enjoyed the fire pit one of the nights we were there. So...

"1. Back porch steps REALLY need work. We tripped down them several times over our stay. 2. Need to add "microwave" to amenities list. 3. If there's an outdoor fire pit, wood should be supplied or it shouldn't be listed as such. Buying enough wood for the weekend if there's none there could cost $50-$60. 4. Everything else was fantastic. Grill, kitchen utensils and appliances, beds, linens, furniture were all great."

Quaint Hotel in Williamsburg

"My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a night and I will say the rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The place is slightly outdated minus the toilet and shower area our room, but that might speak to the charm of the area being focused on a past way of life. They also had a hot breakfast that was nice and a microwave in the room which is becoming more and more a rarity these days. Overall it was a good experience and we would definitely stay there again or recommend the location. "

Great hotel & and will stay again

"The room was large & clean with a lots of space. The bed was comfy & we asked for extra pillows. The bathroom & shower were clean except a spot on the wall behind the toilet. Overall the hotel was very clean, quiet, and walking distance to lots of restaurants, movie theater, and a 1.5 mile walk to colonial Williamsburg. (The train did go by several times a day but nothing a noise machine will drown out at night). "
