"I have enjoyed my stay at Almassa aparthotel very much. It was very clean and the receptionist Mr Hossam is kind and helpful. He gave us a lot of information and provided extra covers and pillows. "All things being considered, we were very satisfied with our stay. The longer we were there the more we became comfortable with the area and found decent grocery stores and nice restaurants. The staff members were very polite and accommodating. Neda was exceptional, she was especially great with making sure that we were ok. The units are very intimate, but they have more than everything that you might need for your stay including hotplates, utensils, etc. Of course it is an easy five minute walk to the famous pedestrian Istiklal Street. Furthermore, it is a pleasant walk downhill to the Topane T1 tram station. However, on the way back, its best to take the tunnel from Karakoy to Galata, and walk down Istiklal Street. "Great location near the Galata tower. The apartment had great views overlooking the city and even better views from the terrace up stairs. The only negatives were the bed was broken so had a very bad sag. I ended up sleeping on the couch. Be aware the stairs are very steep, especially if carrying up luggage. There is no lift"
