When we showed up, he tried to tell us that there was a rate difference and we had to pay an extra $50/night, or cancel our reservation through expedia and pay them directly. My husband got upset and did swear once, this guy responded by swearing and yelling back, then pulled out his vape and vaped right in front of us. When my husband said we came from Canada, it was a different tune from this guy. He thought we were from Ohio just from looking at my license. If I hadn't used my expedia points to help pay for the room, and if we could have afforded to go elsewhere, I would have walked right out!! We also had some difficulties with the room, were told twice maintenence was coming, they never did, and we had to switch rooms. Would NEVER stay at this place or ANY Red Roof Inn again!!

This place needs So Much work. Fire alarms going off for no reason… floors dirty…. Tv not working..had to be move to different room after complaining for 3 hours… understaffed… will never stay there again

First I was charged full price for a 6 hour stay, I called from Pontiac, after driving 12 hours from Tn. Guy says yes we have rooms, Went to Troy, Mi. Checked in, at around 3:45 a.m. at about 7a.m. some man knocked on my door woke me up, i opened the curtains to see a male standing outside my door in white painting clothes, I said GO AWAY! and closed the curtains, then about 9:15 a.m the mai starts knocking for me to checkout??!!!!!! I am STILL LIVID about this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I would like to request a call from a corporate agent, asap! My ph number is in my account info thank you

The Red Roof Inn Auburn Hills offers a great stay at a budget price. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy, and the location is great, being close to many dining and shopping opportunities like the Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall. I will definitely be returning.

Never had a bad experience until this red roof. Check-in was fine, but the guy working could have been more pleasant. Room floor needed a cleaning, but furniture looked new and updated. Bathroom needed some TLC, toilet didn’t always flush and we had to lift toilet tank lid to flush it, and baseboards missing. Only got 1-3 channels on the tv so we let concierge know but they did nothing. An hour into our stay a big disturbance broke out 3 doors down where a women was smashing and throwing things at a room. Police had to be called, and woke up the next day and the broken mess was still all over the ground. This is my first bad review on any Redroof and might be our last stay at one. Very disappointing.
