"My best friend and I chose Sandstone for our annual girls trip this past Labor Day weekend. While the dirt road was semi terrifying to get there, once we arrived, we had an amazing time. The space was perfect for wine drinking and self-care we planned to do. The rain changed our plans to use the fire pit, but even with the rain we still say outside for tea. Thank you to Cheryl and Derrick! You were very communicative and made the process very easy and enjoyable!"

"Owner and family was super nice and friendly. Cabin backed up to a stream. So even though it rained off and on during my stay, I could open the back door and enjoy the serenity of the stream. The stream also was nice to listen to as I fell asleep each night! The price was super reasonable as well."

"I traveled with my family (husband, two kids and the grand parents). Overall the property was very nice and clean. 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms so lots of space. Bathrooms are different. 4 rooms side by side, toilets in a separate room as the showers. There are pros and cons to this place. -First off it is a shared property. Very nice built basement (owner on the top part). That is not a problem, but it is not listed that way in the description and definitely should be. It appears as your renting...

"It was very comfortable, but if the fan could have run without the light on, in the other side of the room, that would have been nice. I didn’t personally like the kitchen being downstairs. The cabin was clean and well prepared for guests. Well thought out floor plan, small but cozy. Quiet. Enjoyable, just the downstairs kitchen was not expected. Thank you for having us. "

"I had a great stay overall—staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. However, the décor and facilities feel outdated and could benefit from a modern facelift. The atmosphere reminded me of a nursing home, which might not appeal to all guests. Updating the interiors could really elevate the guest experience and match the level of service provided. Overlooked

"What a nice find. We've been to West Virginia for years with family roots. When this property showed up or Hotels.com, it was a pleasant surprise. Very quaint and cozy on a quiet street on the banks of the Elk River in Braxton Co., WV. Called to check on us as we were running late, offered to hold the Cafe open for dinner. Escorted to your room. The history of it's old period construction with new touches is really cool. Bed comfy, quiet night. We intend to stay again. "
