The staff was very nice and helped us call for a cab to the airport and communicated to the driver for us. They had coffee and breakfast. "We love our stay at this place! It’s right in the heart of Jiufen. Living here for days gave us an authentic taste of what it is like to live in the Taiwanese mountains. The second floor view is absolutely spectacular. Top of the mountain unobstructed view where we can see the harbors and northern ocean. Loving waking up to see this view everyday! The place is also clean and quiet. Location is excellent, go up the stairs you are immediately in the Jiufen old street where all the actions are....

I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese. After an awkward minute on the phone they hung up, but a few minutes later I finally got instructions on how to get inside.
