"This is a hotel outside the city of Pula. Easy check-in, friendly staff, free parking, very good breakfast. Room is a little small and bathroom fixtures are odd, shower in particular. Water drains toward the door and runs out into the bathroom. There is no place to put soap or shampoo in the shower. "

"We were very disappointed in lots of ways by this rental. The owner spoke no English which is not what we were told when renting the property. This made it very difficult to address any of the problems. For example, we had agreed online the day before that we could check in a little early as my wife was unwell, but on arrival we were sent away for 2 hours as the villa wasn’t ready. There were a LOT of issues with the property. The villa is only the small ‘pool-house‘ you see in the pictures....

"We had a fantastic time at Villa Sterna. The Villa was just as advertised and in a beautiful spot. The Villa was very spacious and the swimming pool and outside area was fab. "A lovely house in the Istrian countryside. Close to supermarkets and restaurants and within easy reach of beaches and beautiful towns. The house is very well kept and organised with plenty of room. The pool and outdoor space is lovely and very private. Massimo is very friendly and helpful - we would definitely recommend!"

The new pools are fabulous, especially the relax infinity pool with the fantastic comfortable cushioned 4 poster sun beds, lovely, more comfortable than the apartment beds. Nice modern reception with good staff. The negatives for comfort was the mattresses seemed old, lumpy and very uncomfortable, i hardly slept the first night and changed my mattress for the spare one in our room but wasn't much better. "We loved the property in the old town. The lighting at the entrance was a little unnerving but with phone lights it was manageable. Suggest a timed light at the bottom. The location was perfect for the wedding we were there to attend. Thank you."

The owners were very friendly and helpful and willing to provide anything we required or advise us on the best places to visit in the area. We used the bikes provided with to cycle to Verdula, otherwise it is easier to get around by car and there is plenty to see and do in the area."

"We have just returned home from this hotel and I must say for the price I was really impressed. The complex is clean and all the staff are friendly. A variety of restaurants but they do all serve similar food but that wasn’t an issue for us. They cater for all tastes even fussy eaters which we needed. The shop is somewhat expensive but that is to be expected on a complex like this. The rooms are comfortable and our self catering apartment was well equipped. Cleaning came in every morning. The stairs are steep so might be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. No air con in the smaller room but found if my son slept with the door open, and the air con on downstairs then it filtered up to his room adequately. Our balcony was small, others where bigger but again wasn’t an issue for our party. The pool area is nice, the pool doesn’t feel busy even when all the beds are full. I’d happily come back here again. "
