Captain's Quarters

Unplug from the craziness of the world with a stay in Bowers Beach. This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home can sleep up to 12 people per stay. 2,288 sqft of indoor space and two large decks will give your group plenty of space to relax during your visit. 360 degree water views allow for superb sunrise and sunsets. This home includes 1 queen bed, 3 full beds, and a set of twin bunkbeds. Large couch in the living room can fit an additional two folks comfortably. This home is within a 400' walk to the beach entrance, allowing for simple trips back and forth throughout your stay. House comes equipped with a Charcoal grill, beach chairs, and a few bikes to ride around town. Bowers is home to two bar/restaurants, a park/playground, several charter and party boats, as well as the Bowers maritime museum. 15 minute drive to Dover, the racetrack, Delaware Turf Sports Complex. 30 Minutes to dogfish head brewery, and 40 minutes to Rehoboth, Lewes and Dewey. Whether you stay in town or explore the local area, you will enjoy your stay at the Captain's Quarters.

Great Stay
We had a great weekend stay during a lacrosse tournament at DE Turf. The house is very close and can accommodate a lot of people. Also very close to the beach.

Great place first for a family trip
The Captain’s Quarters afforded us a wonderful beach trip. Plenty of room for everyone and more than enough bathrooms. I’ll miss master bath! The house was conveniently located close to the beach. The kids had a great time in the Bay.

We stayed at this beach house for a short weekend in February. It was a beautiful house with everything you need for a large family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. And only one block to the beach! Mattresses were comfortable and brand new.

Lovely Family Vacation
We stayed at this property to be close to family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The owner did a great job communicating and shared helpful resources about the area. Great property and excellent value!
Captains Quarters is a great house with plenty of space for 10-12 people. We had 5 people so everyone got their own room. Close to the beach, one restaurant in the area but it was fantastic, great burgers and best ice cream ever! Similar houses in Rehoboth or Dewey cost 50% more so we enjoyed the same area for a much better value.

Quiet Getaway
My friends and I had a lovely stay in Bowers Beach! It is VERY quiet, which was just what we wanted. You could walk on the beach and only see a handful of people which was great. The house is about 1/2 block to the sand, making it super easy for families with children. The house itself was advertised, and Sean was very accommodating and engaged. Overall we had a great stay!

We had an amazing time
The house had plenty of space for everyone and we all had a great time. The neighbors were all very friendly and it felt very welcoming and homey. We found kayak rentals close by and a fantastic restaurant. It's away from all the busy traffic but close enough to everything like Cape Henlopen and Ocean City boardwalk. It is a very short walk to the bay beach and we had so much fun exploring. We would recommend and hope to stay again.

Great place to stay for tournaments in Frederica
We stayed with 2 other families for a field hockey tournament. It was a short drive to the turf complex in Frederica. We were able to cook our meals instead of eating out, and had a comfortable place to rest when there were breaks. It was a close walk to the beach, though we only went for short times to walk since it was in April and cold outside. There were plenty of bedrooms and places for us to hang out where we weren't on top of each other. I would stay there again if we had another event to go to in the area.

Family Vacation
Spent almost 2 weeks at Captain Quarters. Great time had by all! Bowers Beach had amazing 4th of July fireworks and we learned a lot about horseshoe crabs. Great location for visiting various locations like Philly, DC, Ocean City, Cape May, New Castle, Annapolis and Rehoboth just to name a few place we went. Sean was great and answered any questions we had quickly! If looking for a fun place to visit I would definitely recommend Captain Quarters!

Soccer stay
We stayed for a local soccer tournament. The small beach town was quiet, lovely and easy to move in and out of. Sean could not have been more proactive or accessible for questions. He even sent us a charger that was left behind, in the mail. All adults who stayed said we'd be quick to rent again if back in the area. Our teenagers enjoyed the location, as well.

Great visit to a hidden gem
We had a great stay at Sean’s property in Bower’s Beach. It is a great location and incredibly quiet which we loved. Lots of open beach and missing the crazy crowds of more popular beaches down the coast. Sean is a great host and was incredibly responsive throughout the visit from before we checked in to after we checked out. I was pleasantly surprised at the floor plan of the house - it was a great setup for stays with multiple families as there are separate sections of the house with connected bathrooms. This makes it a great place for different families to have their own space while also taking advantage of the large open areas to hang out - two level back deck along with a large open kitchen/dining area.

Wedding @ King Cole Farm
A group of 10 of us; 4 couples and 2 singles stayed here for a wedding held at King Cole Farm. Location was perfect, close proximity to the beach. There was enough space for all 10 of us to hang out in the living room and kitchen areas. Very convenient if you’re attending an event at KCF, it was about a 15 minute drive—don’t solely rely on ride-shares. We were planning to Uber/Lyft and it was difficult to find a ride. Overall, place was cute and the little town of Bowers Beach is cute and personable. We all agreed we’d be willing to stay here again!
