Our room had a mold issue around the window. (427) The room itself did not smell good. The fridge didn’t keep the food cold. The room was very dusty. The plug under the beside table was disgusting. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The sheets and blankets were clean, the towels were nice and white.
The staff were all very kind, courteous and caring.
The pool had been closed, the staff opened it for the weekend, which was great, however the aweful smell in the pool room .. well, it was aweful! The water was chilly but clean.
The breakfast was very good. There was no lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Our family of four visited for two nights during our spring break in March. It was a great location. Though we were unsure of it at first, the valet parking was prompt and very convenient!
The room had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and we slept well, even in the busy city! However, upon arrival, it had a very strong smell of pot that lingered throughout our stay. We were told that cleaning staff would freshen it up. If they did, we didn't notice an improvement.
A huge disappointment was the pool area. The night we arrived, it was closed for maintenance. That happens and we understand. It did open the next day. However, according to the website, there was supposed to be a hot tub (appears now that the listing on expedia omits that, but it was there when we booked). We specifically looked for those amenities, as a nearby Embassy Suite had the sauna, which we loved! But, we wanted to try another location. So, this false advertisement was pretty frustrating, especially when you are expecting something specific.

Exceeded my expectations
"Crown Plaza exceeded my expectations by all means. I felt home for a rather long stay of six nights. One bonus thing was the Greek taverns for good food and two grocery stores nearby. Access to public transport is easy, Art Institute is a mere 15 minutes by bus. The only down side is the highway ..."
