This delightful villa complete with stuccoed walls and pantile roof is set in the hillside within easy walking distance of the medieval village of Seillans, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France (only 2 such villages in the Var). The property is very private, is not overlooked and the nearest neighbours are at least 100m away.
The house is south-facing with views across miles of pine woodland towards the coast and is not overlooked by any other property. It is located in a tranquil spot off a small road with easy access to the village but without the noise of being in the centre of the village.
The house has around 350 square metres of living space. Arranged as a main house and almost adjoining annex it has two double bedrooms and a bathroom and shower room in each building. Two bedrooms have kingsize beds, one a double bed and one twin beds. The living room has a mezzanine level which provides a sense of space, light and airiness.
The kitchen and 3 of the bathrooms have all been updated in the last 12 years and the house has had a new gas boiler installed in 2013 for reliable hot water. A new electric pool heater was installed in 2015 and various improvements to the outdoor space including a large decked area outside the open plan living area. Outside terraces including a dining area are flanked by mature tropical planting with yucca trees, oleander, a fine mulberry tree, fig trees, a pomegranate tree, olive trees, a variety of palms and cactuses looking down onto an azure heated swimming pool. The pool is heated to 29 degrees which is very pleasant! The pool is only available between Easter and the end of October unless separate arrangements are made with the owner.
We have air conditioning in the main house (both bedrooms plus the living room). The annex has substantial stone walls and is therefore cool without needing air con.
The villa is within easy reach of Frejus (where paragliding and the hire of crewed yachts are availabe, plus pleasant cocktail bars by the marina) and Cannes on the Cote D’Azur, the Lac St Cassien (pedalo hire), a variety of golf courses and the breathtaking Verdon Gorge (zip wires and white water rafting as well as being one of the finest gorges in Europe).
We provide a welcome pack when you arrive which includes a bottle of rose wine from the area, a bottle of water, cheese, olives and a baguette and if you are bringing small children, drinks and crisps will be provided for them.
Some basic household items are also provided including bin bags, dishwasher tablets.
