Its beautifully situated on the village green and is popular with locals as a pub and for dining. The latter is not surprising as our evening meals were superb, staff really helpful and we complimented the chef for that. Breakfast, a buffet as advertised on booking, was however unexciting. We had chosen the cheaper rooms and we understand the more expensive 'downstairs' rooms would have been more up-to-date. The immediate surrounds, as a parking lot, detracted from the location in this pleasant village.

Put in disabled room, which was not needed and not advertised. Booked twin, but had emergency chords by beds and disabled shower, nothing wrong with this, but if we had been told beforehand we would have booked elsewhere. Dont bother with breakfast, just toast, cereal and not much of that.

A warm welcome, large comfortable bedroom with a modern shower room. The breakfast is buffet style with good choice of options, the restaurant has a good menu and the portions are very generous. We would definitely stay again.

Perfectly adequate and cheap. Coffee not great.
I didn't expect much for the very modest price I paid. This is, after all, a pub with rooms. The room was clean but a bit shabby and basic, about what I expected. The bed was a little unforgiving and my sleep quality wasn't quite what I usually get. Breakfast was exactly as dscribed and was perfectly adequate apart from the really weak filter coffee. Our breakfast host did appear flustered, slightly "falty towers" in approach. Would I stay again? Yes I would.

Loved our stay especially the large spacious room and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and there was everything needed including kettle, tea/coffee, hairdryer, hangers, towels, light up mirror.

Room was clean, but dated and some furniture that was damaged. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. There strong smell of an illegal substance coming into the room with the window closed. Ended up blocking the door gap with a towel and opening the window. The radiator came on full at 11pm and over heated the room. Had to get out of bed and turn the system off.
