We picked a garden view room which was worth it as the view was fantastic to wake up to. "Very happy with the location and the view over the river and York from our room. Within easy walking distance of the centre with excellent cafes and restaurants nearby. Service attentive but unobtrusive. Lifts efficient with little waiting required - important since we were on the top floor. Would certainly choose it were we to0 return to stay in York.."

"Don’t recall booking an accessible room. Because of the adapted accessibility the shower wasn’t great. Wouldn’t have been perfect if not mobile but would have preferred a better shower that would have been in a room that wasn’t adapted for accessibility."

"Free parking with plenty of space. Good location. Friendly welcoming staff. Nice bedroom with good shelving and wardrobe space and it was warm and cosy. Only negative point was the bathroom which was tiny. Hardly room to turn round or dry yourself. Overall I would recommend the hotel but have to grade it good rather than excellent. "

"Parking is always a concern but with a large secure NCP very close by i felt ok. The staff were polite and exremely helpful. Room was good with a great mattress, a good nights sleep with blackout curtains. The food was presented well and tasted delicious. Thankyou Malmaison we will book again."

"Proximity to York city centre is great. The rooms heating system did'nt work, but there was an alternative source of warmth in the form of a plug-in heater hidden under the desk masked by a chair."

"Lovely stay, very disappointed to be charged for parking on a 3 night stay worth £700. We had two cars so £90, had this reduced to £45 but feels like profiteering for the sake of it."
