The Stars where so BRIGHT!

Friendliest staff! Beautiful cozy Cabin! Loved my jetted bathtub! Terrific view. Quaint town! Close to major city. The Stars were so BRIGHT!!! Cozy fire place kept cabin warm along with central heating cooling and tons of ceiling fans. So Romantic and most of all peaceful 😌

Saw this place on hotel.com and thought I’d give it a whirl. It sits in a beautiful small town called Belleview.IA with lots of parks and access to the river and tons of shops and diners just a short walk away. Although the staff is off site they are super friendly, honest and pretty knowledgeable about the area which is great for first time visitors. The property was super clean and offers an amazing view of the Mississippi River and the lock and damn. My only bummer was the property is not in partnership with the property down the hill so you can not walk down the hill and fish off the dock which really sucked when bass where jumping to the surface for food. But all in all 10/10 best place to take a vacation. There are other fishing spots just a short walk or drive away.

A perfect weekend getaway!

Our stay was wonderfully relaxing. Our only issue were the rain storms but that was the fault of Mother Nature. The owner was in contact with us and responded quickly to our questions. The view was calming and the cabin was quiet. We plan to return next year.

Great Place

This little place is fantastic. I loved it. It had a fantastic kitchen. The porch and the grounds generally were wonderful and you can’t beat the property views!

We had a large family reunion in Bellevue and rented out all of the cabins for me, my siblings and their families. It was great to have the beautiful views of the Mississippi, lots of outdoor seating (as our extended family of 70 people were in town), and an easy walk to downtown and all the 4th of July activities. The cabins were nicely renovated (particularly North Star - where I stayed). The only fly in the ointment was that the toilet backed up in one of the cabins. However, the folks at Moon River Cabins were very responsive (despite the holiday) and had it fixed the next morning. They were great. Thanks guys!!

It was a lovely place and would have been perfect had we been traveling alone or as a couple -- but was too small traveling with a child. The whirlpool tub in our cabin was HUGE and amazing -- except one of us required handicap accessibility and we thought we had a "walk in" shower and this was VERY difficult to get in with no grab bars or leg clearance etc. Also, if you are staying for a while there are no dressers etc. to put away your clothes so we had suitcases all over the kitchen. Just awkward. It was a lovely setting -- but not very private.

It was a very nice cabin overlooking the Mississippi River. There was a porch to sit on and look at the river and the barges going up and down it. Just a few blocks from a lock and dam that you can visit. Fire pit and grill for each cabin. Proprietor was very friendly and available for questions.
