"There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."

Lacking the basic welcome items ie said there would be milk coffee and tea etc. No milk no coffee just tea. "We did not meet Eric upon checkin, we let ourselves in. Ample parking spaces. Allocated Room 3, which was the assessable room. Our overall stay was good, the location was convenient to get to Cork and Head of Kinsale. Very friendly environment as you get to meet the other guests in the dining/kitchen area. You feel at home as breakfast is provided and you are free to cook as well. We eventually met Eric, and Trish, both are super friendly and helpful. I have to make a comment on Room 3...

Nice Quiet Stay

"It's a nice little cottage and host/property manager were quite nice as well. We were there 5 days, and enjoyed our stay there a lot. It's a bit far from the sights and from a grocery store (minimum 30 min. drive, IIRC) so plan for that. Also, no wi-fi that we were able to figure out (we just watched stuff we had already downloaded, using an HDMI cable), but there was a television and laundry facilities, so that was great."

"We loved this home for the moments we saw it online. Then when we met David, he was very helpful with everything in the home, but also had maps out for Ireland. My family did get sick during our visit and David was on it! I followed him i to town to get medicine for my son and husband. David checked in several times to make sure we were ok, and if we needed a doctor. Thankfully we didnt but having the owners close by meant that we could reach out if we needed anything.
