My family did get sick during our visit and David was on it! I followed him i to town to get medicine for my son and husband. David checked in several times to make sure we were ok, and if we needed a doctor. Thankfully we didnt but having the owners close by meant that we could reach out if we needed anything. "It is a delightful cottage on a stud farm. Very peaceful. Access to small town nearby for shopping. We visited the Dingle Peninsula and other places on the west coast though they were quite far away. Thoroughly recommend it for the peace and quiet and beautiful srroundings"

"There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."

"It's a nice little cottage and host/property manager were quite nice as well. We were there 5 days, and enjoyed our stay there a lot. It's a bit far from the sights and from a grocery store (minimum 30 min. drive, IIRC) so plan for that. Also, no wi-fi that we were able to figure out (we just watched stuff we had already downloaded, using an HDMI cable), but there was a television and laundry facilities, so that was great."

The house has everything you will need for a lively stay including a lovely welcome pack which is appriecated at a long journey. "The place was ancient, but with a very comfortable, old world vibe. The bedroom was very clean and nicely presented. I would go back there just to hang out in the 400 year old building with great pub, gym, restaurant and who knows what else."
