"Ostan Loch Altan was an excellent place to rest on a looping, self-organized road trip through the hinterlands of County Donegal. The roadside inn is comfort, with spacious rooms (though the bed was on the soft side, so you felt a little like you were sinking toward the middle). Luckily, the hotel has its own pub, which serves dinner — Friday night was steak special night — and breakfast room, as the other pub across the street wasn’t serving food midweek in early November. "Gorgeous property with friendly staff. Beautiful room with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay even though we were placed in the adjacent building without elevator (carrying our heavy luggage upstairs was a pain). The restaurant is wonderful, but the spa was closed during our stay, bummer! Check the schedule if planning on using the spa"

"I cannot imagine a more perfect experience than Michael and Bridget’s beautiful farmhouse! They were both spectacular hosts. The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable … and just a quick walk to the Glenveigh Inn for a pint. O nice for them to have set us up with some coffee, tea, and milk. The region is spectacularly beautiful. Highly recommend."
