THE RETREAT
Nestled in a quiet friendly neighborhood in Dunnellon, this cozy Florida retreat will be your home away from home. The home is located on a small canal off the Withlacoochee River.
Enjoy beautiful views of the river from the spacious upper and lower back porches where you can view beautiful cypress trees, waterfowl, turkeys, and other wildlife. The peaceful Florida nights can be enjoyed around our fire pit and lighted dock after having dinner at our local favorite spot “Stumpknockers on the River” located 5 minutes down the road.
A corn hole game set is also available for your enjoyment.
FISHING/BOATING
The Withlacoochee River is the perfect place to fish for largemouth bass and a variety of pan fish. Fish from the dock or bring your boat. We have a large yard so there is plenty of space to park a boat trailer during your stay. For boat launching use Spruce Boat Ramp located 1.6 miles down the street. Additional boat ramps are in the area for launching at different locations in Dunnellon.
KAYAKING/PADDLEBOARDING
We offer two kayaks for you to enjoy the wonderful Nature that the Withlacoochee has to offer.
BIKING/HIKING/WALKING
Biking, hiking or walking you’ll be sure to enjoy the many outdoor trails. The Dunnellon Trailhead is located at CR 39 and U.S. 41 and is a paved path crossing the Withlacoochee River and running along side Rainbow River to Hwy 484 at the Blue Run Park a great trail to see many species including Alligators. There are also many other trails in the area to explore.

The location of this home is the perfect spot to enjoy many outdoor activities, wildlife encounters, and amazing local seafood.
Rainbow River is a 9 mile drive (45 minute by boat) and is a 72 degree year round crystal clear spring feed river that runs 6 miles and flows into the Withlacoochee River where paddleboarding, kayaking and tubing can be enjoyed. With great restaurants including Swampys and the Blue Gator.
Crystal River is a coastal city which is another great spot 20 miles away. Kings Bay is Crystal River’s headwaters which has more than 70 springs which include Three Sisters Springs and Hunters Springs and flows out into the Gulf of Mexico. Here you can enjoy many activities including swimming with the Manatees, paddleboarding, kayaking, and boating. Here you will find lots of great Locally caught seafood that is amazing , our favorites include The Crab Plant and Seafood Seller.
***This is a one bedroom home with a pull out couch. The lower portion of this home is a garage that is off limits to guests and is for the owners personal storage.
