"Everything about this place was perfect! The space was obviously designed for the ease and enjoyment of its guests. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, the bedrooms were adorably decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of clothing storage. "We had a great time on Skye, staying at Shore Cottage. It was just what we needed as a group of 3 couples travelling by van. We were able to spread out and relax. the views across the water to Portree and the Old man of Storr, first thing in the morning was fantastic. Well appointed with everything you need, great cooking facilitys and washing machine etc, to catchup with the laundry. A great place for a relaxing stay."

I found a the stalk from a buch of grapes by the side of the bed which i was surprised was missed if the floors had supposedly been hoovered!? The ajoining restaurant/pub was good. "This is a lovely hotel about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Portree. Our room was spacious and clean and bed very comfortable, we ate in the hotels restaurant and the food served was excellent. All staff we met were very friendly and a credit to the hotel."

No glam and glitz, but traditional Scottish feel!

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy furnishings and glitz. We highly recommend!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed in the UK. "

"We absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful place and people. The staff were amazing; particularly John and John, who were thoughtful and took care of us the entire time. Rooms were kept very nicely and having the option to do laundry was an added bonus. Skye is a gorgeous place and staying at this hotel only made our experience better. Terrific restaurant, which we spent 2 dinners 3 breakfast’s at. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon"

My meals were excellent as was the service in the dining room and bar. The Sauna/cold plunge experience was exceptional and the coziness of my cabin cannot be paralleled.
