"It was chosen primarily because it was closest to family we were visiting for a few days, but also the photos of the accommodation looked fun and location beautiful. We stayed in Shawn, at the very top of a very steep hill, for us townies was the difficult part lol Shawn was very comfortable, small kitchen area, toilet and shower and lovely small decking area with bbq and views! Although we didn’t meet any staff communication was very clear via emails and website. Thoroughly recommend 👍 "

"Set in isolated rural village with lovely views and walks. Our vist was marred by horrendous wet weather,but we made the best of it. Mark and Madeline were lovely people who made us welcome and dealt with any issues and gave advice about the area."

It’s well placed near a train station, and a great walk. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub which created a great atmosphere and kept us warm in winter."

"Lovely little lodge with lots of sweet extra touches like fairy lights, a cosy fireplace and outdoor bath. "Photos and description don't do it justice. What an absolute delight and beyond. Furnished like a show flat but it's the little detauls that really make this: the cotton buds/pads in the bathroom, cereals in the cupboard, milk and yoghurt in the fridge... "Stayed in the family room which was fabulous!!! Had 2 rooms with a double & 2 single beds in the other with connecting door. Lovley big bathroom too. Breakfast included & for £85 it was an ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!!!!! Quite a bit of road noise but you get used to it"

"Second or third stay at the Keep, previously in the tower suite, now a flying stop so a "basic" downstairs room. Despite being street facing at ground level it's absolutely quiet. I live on a busy main road & this room was so much quieter than home. Palatial room with perfectly comfortable bed, large shower, microwave, fridge, etc. No staff on site most of the time which always makes me a little nervous, but I've never needed them, & the price reflects it. If I want 24hr staffing I'm welcome to pay (a lot) more for the privilege, but won't, should the fates send me to Yeovil again, I'll stay at the Keep happily. On-site parking is quite tight, & if you struggle with difficult parking I'd suggest a quick look on foot on arrival before you take the car in. (When booking (via Expedia) breakfast appeared to be a £67 option (not a lot less than the room cost), which I'm sure was an error. I didn't need breakfast, so it was no bother to me, but might be worth verifying if it would be a problem for you.) "
