"Ambra Hotel is simply wonderful! A beautiful boutique hotel located in the heart of Cortina! Shopping, dining and any ski need is all within a short walking distance. "Our stay at Hotel Piaz was fine. Parking was easy and so was our check in process. We went into one room and the shower door was broken so the very helpful front desk lady let us switch to a new room. It wasn’t the best hotel I’ve stayed at, but from here we visited Seceda, Vallunga, and Ortisei. It wasn’t dirty, just a little dingy and could maybe use a remodel. "Everyone was very kind and friendly. Breakfast was great. Beautiful view of Cortina from our room. Room was just a little cramped for two people with large bags but nothing the hotel can do about that. We were there just before high season kicked off so the restaurants in the hotel was closed in the evenings which would have been convenient for a drink or dinner. "

"Great location and excellent view from the room. Parking was paid, but across the road from hotel. Breakfast was ample and varied, and the chef was very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would recommend for others to stay if needing a base in the Dolomites."
