Absolutely beautiful property right next to the ferry! Super convenient and a lovely space. The kitchen has all of the dishes and utensils you’ll need and almost every room has a balcony which is really nice. We had 9 people staying and it was the perfect space for everyone to have their alone time but still gather together

Great Orcas View
The house layout is quirky - not bad, just different. The view from the deck is awesome, and we saw a porpoise or minke from there.

The proximity to the Ferry port from Orcas Island and to a small grocery store is certainly a plus. There is also a magnificent view from the main deck of the property. There is no doubt that the property is showing its age and older construction style, but the condition and cleanliness is as best as possible with the aging property. We would consider returning to this location.

Family vacation
This home is great. The setting with a clear view of the harbor, the large deck, large bedrooms, bunches is sleeping space - it is a great place to relax. It is also a convenient 2 minute drive from the ferry .

Grandparent House
It was good for a weekend getaway for our friend group :) Everything is super old and the downstairs is creepy but the price and size was right and the view is incredible.

Quirky, spacious, cozy
Overall a great house for our family. Though dated and past due for many repairs, this house has character, great views, and was very comfortable for our family of four. Located within an easy walk of the ferry, it was a great launching point for exploring Orcas. The kitchen was well fitted with utensils and cooking accouterments, though lacked oil, seasonings, and coffee. Although there are great views of the sound and islands in the distance the windows were dirty and the glass doors onto the upstairs deck were fogged over and need replacing. As other reviewers have commented, the basement is musty and we discovered a leak in the room with the washer/drier that made the floor wet.

Eclectic Home on Orcas
The home is sitting up on the hill just above the ferry terminal. It has a wonderful view to the west of Wasp Pass where you can watch the boats travel from the comfort of the deck. I call this home eclectic as it mixes several themes. From a spiral staircase leading either up to the master bedroom with sweeping views or down to an almost cave like environment below the main floor. A disappointing item was seeing the wood burning stove in the pictures only to be told that it was not to be used and since our stay was late October it would have been nice to have a warm fire in the stove. That is the main reason for the lower rating.

Owl House, Orcas Island
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owl House. The multiple rooms - bedrooms, den, dining area, living room, bathrooms - gave all of us Lots of room to "do our own thing" as well as gather together. The views from the deck are wonderful, we saw beautiful sunsets and the northern lights! Each bathroom has a unique feature in it and the living room-dining area are very nice.

Owl Lane Home a/k/a the quirky turkey house
This was a fun, interesting, quirky house to stay in. We were there for three nights and it provided pretty much what we needed. Our first morning there, the sunrise was just spectacular. A great way to start our day. As we prepared to hit the island, we were greeted by about 7 turkeys who were quite friendly. Absolutely loved that! We didn't see them again until our last day. They came to say good bye. The evenings we were there, it was nice to watch the sun set with a nice glass of wine. Even with the architectural oddities of the house, I would totally stay again.

Everyone loved the view and the close proximity to the ferry terminal. It was very convenient to ride the ferry with our bicycles to the various islands. The accommodations worked out perfectly. We saw a small pod of orcas from the deck our last night. Would certainly recommend it to friends.

Friend shindig
We had a good time but the place could have been a little cleaner. The little nats were a bit of a frustration. There are some things that definitely could be replaced; the upper deck has a hole in it with a chair over it which could be a hazard and the ancient oven should be replaced as well. All in all it was a fun place to stay but some updates would be great. Wonderful for accommodating a larger crowd.

Big house, amazing view, areas for people to relax
It’s an amazing location. Beautiful views from the decks. Areas for people to be together and also retreat. We had fun family meals at the big table. Great board games, a separate table for puzzles. Just perfect for our family. Many thanks for sharing this house with us. We truly made lasting memories.

Place was great and made even better with an amazing view! We had the whole family (9 of us) and there was plenty of room for all without feeling like we were crowded. We really loved the two cats that would visit and hang outside with us!

Overlook the needed maintenance and kitchen shortcomings...
If you can hold off on judging the dirty carpet, a couple broken tiles and the state of the kitchen that greet you ...as well as the much needed refresh of the exterior stain... you'll appreciate and enjoy it. The view is everything and makes it worth it. We did not use the bottom floor but did not notice a damp, mold smell. The furniture upstairs was updated from the picture and extremely comfortable after a long day hiking and exploring! The house is solidly built and the decks are sturdy. The pictures were misleading. The house was clean as best could be expected with wooden counter tops however, the housekeeping missed some things in the kitchen so, we cleaned surfaces before use. The proximity to the ferry and ease of finding it was much appreciated. We loved seeing all the Wild rabbits that greeted us on our way in and out. Be forewarned this house has a lot of stairs and may be difficult for those with knee and Ada concerns. The lovely views from decks off 2 of the bedrooms was a bonus! Suggestions to owner; bare minimum... professionally clean the carpet, fix the broken tiles and replace the kitchen oven. Lose the plastic hangars placed behind the woodstove on the wall as art. This house is worth the peaceful, beautiful sunrises and sunsets! All In all we'd rent this place again!

5 Star View, 1 Star Accomodations
The view is spectacular, and a forest surrounds the property for ultra privacy. But this property is very very dated and badly in need of much deferred maintenance. The kitchen faucet is a "sprayer", not in a good way. The downstairs toilet requires you to straddle the corner of the shower to use. The upstairs bathroom requires you to ascend a staircase to enter or exit the shower, or to use the commode. Floor tiles are cracked and broken (watch your bare feet!), light switches are all in the oddest places (but at least labeled!), and the "Welcome Book" with all the information is totally out of date. On the plus size, it is big, easily sleeping 4 couples and even a couple more on futons, and the kitchen, while old in the tooth, is roomy. It fit our needs, but we felt is was extremely overpriced for it's condition.

Beautiful location, spacious, comfortable
This property worked beautifully for our extended family reunion. It has lots of space and was very comfortable with an unbelievable view! As mentioned in previous posts, it could use a little maintenance here and there. But, personally, I would prefer the more affordable pricing and put up with its "personality". We loved the island, too, with lots of beautiful hikes. I just wanted to mention that the 4th bedroom, listed as having a double bed with 2 singles, is actually a bunk bed (double below, single above) with a separate "cove" with the second single bed. The second single works well for an older child, teenager, or young adult who likes their own space that is actually separate from the bedroom. It's almost like a 5th bedroom but probably can't be listed as that since it's technically not a room.

Amazing view; great for families
This is clearly a large family vacation home. Ideal for active grandparents/parents/school-age children/older toddlers. It has the beds, the chairs/tables, the separation of space needed for an extended family to visit. Not fancy, if you like fancy, but very comfortable. Lots of steps/levels outside and within the house - not reduced-mobility friendly so it will not work for those who can't do steps. The view out the main back deck is amazing - water view between trees. Very quiet here, and though it is walking-distance to the ferry, it is a 20 minute drive to the main-street area of Eastsound. The kitchen really could use some additional general cooking tools (mixing bowls of varied sizes, spatulas, small tongs etc) - the choice is pretty sparse and the pots and pans really need to be upgraded. More plastic deck chairs would be nice too, and a couple small side tables for the deck as well. A great place for the right type of guests! We would stay here again.
