"Our room at the castle was very nice and the spa facilities were excellent. We were disappointed that the guest of a 5 star hotel did not have access to the main restaurant Le Cerf (fully booked) and recommended the other restaurant Waldschanke which was was much, much below the 5star quality. The dining experience ruined our stay there. They should flag Le Cerf restaurant booking when accepting room reservations. "

"Nice hotel but a bit dated. The

was nice. The location is great. Lovely walk into the town centre. There is no air conditioning so had to have to balcony doors open and it was quite noisy. The main issue was the fold down bed was missing 2 slats right in the middle which made it very uncomfortable. Mentioned it to the staff in the morning and didn’t even get an apology - they just noted it down. Good, extensive breakfast. Bad Mergentheim is a lovely town - highly recommend a visit. "
