"Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. "Comfortable room with private bath, and we enjoyed sitting in the porch area and visiting with Katty & family. Close enough to everything to walk but far enough back to be peaceful. We went on the night hike and canoe tours with P&K Tours, and it was convenient to start at thr same place instead of meetinf up in the village or at the dock. "The staff at the Serendipity are great. Angie picked us up at the port and walked us back early in the morning on departure day, Anna served breahfasts, lunches and dinners in the courtyard, and they all helped to arrange tours. We did the kayak tour with Wesley and found it very enjoyable and informative. Also did a walkabout with Jonathan, which was lots of fun. Tortuguero was a very worthwhile place to visit, we would come back and stay at the Serendipity again."

"Such a beautiful place in the middle of nature. I loved their pool and food was amazing (we got the “full board” option for all of our meals paid for and it was definitely worth it, buffet style, delicious). Staff were incredible, kind and always helpful! Clean rooms - with all you need. Since you are in the middle of the forest, you get awaken by howler monkeys and birds, which I loved - being right inside the forest. Fan helped keep it nice and fresh at night, exactly what we needed! Perfecto location for us … in front of the town, 5 min by boat! Very private, and yet close to town! I would definitely stay here again!! Thank you! "

You walk one way to the beach, it’s full of little seating areas, pontoons and places to just enjoy the nature and surroundings. We spent evenings on a pontoon watching the sun set, afternoons in the hammock on the balcony your room has, and the hot days by the pool. Iguanas randomly wander around the place, and visited the pool on our last day. Howler monkeys occasionally swing by, and there are endless birds, one we didn’t notice was 2 meters away from us whilst we were enjoying the pontoon. We went in turtle laying season, and saw a wild turtle laying its eggs. There are boat tours, night hikes, canoe expeditions, hikes and other activities, all with endless wildlife around. Truly a wonderful place and experience. "
