"Wir trafen eine sehr schöne und von der gesamten Bausubstanz komfortable, ruhig gelegene und sehr saubere Wohnung an, die mit allem ausgestattet war, was man für den Urlaub benötigt. "Great hotel and very friendly staff. The outside pool is cold. Reception staff went above and beyond. We arrived at 1 in the morning and still got checked in after calling the out of hours number. Check in only took 5 mins. Walking distance to the beach although there are no pavements so you need to walk on the road. "

"We got the cheap studio with the sofa beds that dont have such great reviews. However, we turned them around and put them together to make a big bed. They were quite comfortable and the sheets and pillows were good quality. Very satisfied. The only issue was that there was no dish soap in the kitchen. The balcony had great views of the village and the beach. We were facing west, and had a lovely sunset. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the restaurant called Bellmonte next...

"Great property with nice south facing outside areas. The urbanisation is a little remote from Castro Marim and a car is necessary. Easy access to great beaches and the motorway. The area is less well known than some of the Algarve but full of history."

"This is a lovely property that is very close to the beach and a 5 min cycle ride to Monte Gordo. There is also a nearby shop attached to a cafe that is perfect for essentials. The beach itself (5 mins walk away) is stunning and seems to go on forever. As is clear from the pictures, decoratively the house is a tad dated inside. For those who don't mind this, however, it offers a perfect Algarve beach house. Although the house has 5 bedrooms, the small living area would make it a bit of a squeeze...

"We come to Portugal every year, staying in new places all the time, 12 people or more. This property was very close to an incredible beach, when i say close i mean less than 5 min walk with young ones at heel. They came and changed the sheets and kept things clean, the icky thing i missed that we usually see is someone cleaning the pool, but the tools where handily they're and the kids loved to do it. Four nights in Monte Gordo.

"Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. Was a small fishing village before tourism and no natural harbour so the fishing boats are launched by tractor pushing them into the sea. Many eateries, cafes etc in the town. The bed we had was very comfy and the shower was so lovely , with power and heat. Also had a fridge in the room. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Cheers 😁😁"

"Great location and facilities. It was my birthday and I appreciated the bottle of bubbly in my room. The cleaning staff were were very friendly. The indoor pool was lovely. The only problem was that we booked the hotel because it had a spa but the hotel did not inform us beforehand that it was closed during the two days that we were there. That was very disappointing.
