"It was the perfect place for our family of five to explore the Groningen area and our family's ancestry. The house was spacious, clean, quiet, and located right on a canal. We rented the boat and took it out on the lake one day. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed grilling and eating outside on one of the many decks surrounded by flowering bushes and plants. Nice hotel with great team and excellent food

"First time stopping here. Friendly welcome with parking on site. Good team of staff and interesting dining options too. Room was nice and very quiet location. Had a couple of beers on the bar and caught up on some work. Then went to the Japanese restaurant area next door and enjoyed the novelty iPad ordering system, where you can order up to 5 small plates at a time and then it resets after 10 mins and you can order again. It was an easy stay and I would probably stay again when next in the area."

"We were welcomed by friendly staff in a beautiful medieval house. The restaurant and breakfast room are located in this ‘castle.’ The rooms are located across the street in a new-fangled room complex. The rooms are modern and functionally furnished. Unfortunately, there was a lack of maintenance of the rooms; the shower floor and chairs are damaged. All this should not spoil the fun, but that is not what you expect from a (Fletcher) hotel. Above all, the rooms are very warm, so the air conditioning is sorely missed. I recommend that Fletcher addresses both ‘shortcomings.’"
