My husband and I loved the quietness! It was just a perfect place for us to stay with our little 🐕. We wanted to stay forever. The only thing we missed was a clock on the wall, but we had our cell phones. Great little cabin.

Great cabin getaway
We were in the area looking to buy property for our own vacation house. The town of Ellijay is such a great place. River St tavern has a great beer selection and the food was amazing. We walked around downtown and visited several little shops, grabbed coffee and checked out the Christmas tree. The location is close to everything! I highly recommend this cabin for a quiet getaway, that is still full of fun!

Mountain cabin
Nice, quiet, secluded cabin. The access road is a bit challenging specially when you go up at night and it is pitch dark. Ideal for rest, reading, strolling and meditation. Would be perfect with a water view, stream, river, lake? Has all what you need.

Cozy cabin in the woods
The size and open concept layout made this cabin a great place to stay. We enjoyed the fireplace which was easy to operate and made a rainy weekend cozier. There were also plenty of games and books had we wanted to take advantage of those. It was also nice that there were extra bathroom towels(sometimes an issue with rentals.) The kitchen, however, was not that well stocked and had we wanted to really utilize it that might have been an issue. Also there was an odd smell in the cabin but we bought air freshener and that improved. We definitely would stay there again and very thankful our little rescue dog could join us.

Good, and not so good.
I recently stayed at this property for three nights while I was hiking in the north Georgia mountains. Here are my thoughts: the property itself is quite nice. A nice front porch perfect for relaxing in a rocking chair. The inside was very clean, and looked to be quite comfortable. The bed was clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed sleeping on it and slept well. Had issues with the Wi-Fi, they had a new router and a password, but evidently they had not chosen to update it with Vicasa. It took over 24 hours to get that straightened out. I could not get the TV to work, it kept saying it had a weak signal. After the Wi-Fi was fixed it was really not an issue for me. The road is a real problem. if you do not have a four-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive vehicle I would not recommend trying to drive it. It is extraordinarily dusty, and it’s not wide enough in places for two vehicles to pass each other. I had a major issue trying to get back up with a large pick up truck was coming down. I spun out and had to get some assistance from the driver of the truck. Fortunately, we were able to get that done. I think that it’s probably too far out of town for folks who want to go in and out. I would not stay here again because of the road.

Lovely log cabin!
Wonderful cozy cabin and very close to everything. There were beautiful deer on the mountains so be careful as you drive. And plenty of fireflies to see as dusk began. It was magical! Vacasa sent us the wrong check in instructions so I had to call them. That was a little stressful because we got there just before dark, but we were eventually able to get in. Just want owner and other renters aware of that in case it happens again. Would highly recommend this little gem in the woods!

Relaxing Stay in Nature
The number one thing I enjoyed about this cabin was the nature & its woodsy style. As someone who grew up in North GA then moving to the surrounding Atlanta area, I missed the woods and mountains. Once my partner & I got there, the cabin was freezing! We could not figure out how to use the gas heater or the gas fireplace. So, we had to go to the nearby Walmart & purchase a space heater. In addition, when we got there, there were multiple bags of garbage outside the front door. However, about a day later, someone came by to take them. Lastly, on our last day, we did not know what to do with our garbage bags. The binder stated to leave them outside the door, however, above the trashcan were instructions about taking the bags to a local disposal place. Despite the little things, we still enjoyed our stay greatly! Thank you Vacasa!

Black mold.
Property full of healthy and safety hazzards. Black mold throughout especially in the bathroom. Faulty electrical including twist tided on cirtuct breakers. Vacasa refused a relocation, stating no abalible properties. Initially denied a refund. Eventually they offered a relocation, but we found somewhere else not full of black mold to stay. Since we were already informed they had no avaliable other properties. They only gave a partial refund becasue we "denied relocation". Horrible communication system in place with vacasa, the customer, and the "local team". And quite frankly they are dishonest.

Feeling Mislead
I didn’t stay at this property. I booked this property in July and was looking forward to a relaxing vacation. After driving 8-9 hours from Fla to Ellijay Ga only to find a dirt gravel road which climbed up a mountain that had a cliff on one side of the road and a rock wall on the other which continued to the property concerned me. As soon as I arrived in the driveway I called Vacasa who was handling the property and explained my concerns. I was told by a young lady that there wasn’t anything she could do and then hung up on me. I had to make a decision to stay where I didn’t feel safe or head back down to the main road and get a hotel that accepted two dogs before it got dark. I was hoping to straighten things out the next day. Once again down the mountain on this road I went only to have a car coming in the opposite direction. We almost side swiped each other trying to avoid going down the cliff. No where in the property description did I see anything regarding these type of roads. If it had been there I would have chosen a property in town. The next day I called VRBO who got Vacasa on the line for me to speak with again . Once again -I was told that there wasn’t anything they could do. I was told it was my fault since I didn’t look at the map leading to the property -which I did do . The map doesn’t state what type of roads lead up to this property just names. I expected more support on my behalf from VRBO which didn’t happen. Im very disappointed in all of this.

Beautiful area, cabin – not so much.
Beautiful area, no real traffic, in the woods and far apart from houses enough to feel alone. If you need privacy from your other guests in the second bedroom, don’t go in the heat of the summer. It has one unit in the kitchen/den and doesn’t go to the bedrooms with the doors closed. Beware that you were paying $100 in extra charges per day, not sure if this cabin was worth it. Blinds on the bigger windows including the bedroom did not work so it was very bright early in the morning and had to use a blanket. Bring your own bathroom supplies including soap and toilet paper. If you’re staying for more than a couple of days you’ll need it. The couch is awful! Sit at your own risk I ended up having hip and back spasms. Like the other Vacasa property I stayed at on Sugar Mountain, NC; The cabin felt forgotten by its owners with lots of discards and old stuff. It did not feel actively cared for. It’s as if the owners are tired of being actual VRBO‘s so they let a corporation take over and leave it as is. It advertised $63 a night, after costs it was over 163 a night. Not worth that amount of money. The cabin just wasn’t that comfortable.

Weekend getaway
I booked this little cabin for myself and my husband for a weekend getaway. (we have been to this area before) The cabin was very cute and clean. I isn't very big but it was just the two of us and our dog. It wasn't too far located from the things we wanted to do, but it was far enough away to feel like you were off to yourself. There were other cabins fairly close but there was still plenty of privacy. I would defiantly stay in this cabin again.
