"We stayed one night, just a stop over in our travel plans, and loved the quaintness of the cabin. It was a perfect one room knotty pine cabin which contained everything you need, i.r. coffee maker, refrigerator, toaster oven, hot plate, hairdryer. Well appointed someone put a lot of thought, time anad effort into this oasis. It was December so i cannot speak to outside activities but it snowed about 5". "If you plan to visit northern Vermont, I would highly recommend staying at the Muddy Mouse. I actually cant think of anything negative to say about it. It's truly a diamond in the rough. The property sits on a mountain top and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. "Our visit was a combination of visiting with our son and partner when they were available and venturing out on our own when they were working. Arriving in the dark, the goggle map and Jennifer’s directions were perfect. The front porch light assured us we were in the right spot. Everything was as described in the listing; however, worries about being chilly never materialized and the bed was very comfy and warm. "The property is as listed. It's new so is very clean and has pretty much all the basics you need. It is remote, almost 3 miles of dirt road, no internet though does have WIFI. There are restaurants 9 miles away in Morrisville with surprisingly good food, ( the duck at Siam Valley Thai was exceptional), as well as groceries, hardware, etc. A good place to escape from our daily craziness."

"We stayed in the cottage during the third weekend of October, yet the foliage was still beautiful. We were located just a few minutes away from Crystal Lake State Park, Lake Willoughby, and wonderful local restaurants like Roberto's Pizza and Barton Baking. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed, including heating and a nice fireplace. Highly recommend!"

"This place was fantastic. My son loved the animals and did not want to leave. It was clean and everything looked as pictured. "

"As two women staying here by ourselves, this place made us uncomfortable. Wires were cut leading up to the hut (they said it’s been like that for 6 years but how would we know that?) and the lock was broken/tampered with so that it wouldn’t lock at all. Didn’t feel as it was worth it to call someone out as we were in the middle of nowhere and still felt unsafe on the property so we left to find a hotel."
