"While we ultimately enjoyed our stay at a two-bedroom cottage, we were upset that the additional charge for bed linens and towels was not transparent at the time of booking. We travel on a budget and did not expect an extra charge on top of the rate for the night. They charge 140kr per person for bed linens and towels. You will get an email about this AFTER you make a reservation. There is also a charge for cleaning, which is quite high, but we found this easy to avoid if you agree to tidy up...

"Ideal for what we needed ... a snowy ski adventure somewhere different. We had 6 staying, which meant it was spacious. 2 more would probably have been fine still. More than that would probably have felt a bit of a squeeze. Facilities were great. Kitchen is well appointed, but not ideal layout for lots of people. My preference would be to have a microwave and a real coffee maker of some kind, but that's a personal preference rather than criticism of the accommodation. Had some fantastic times...

"They stay was great like last time, maybe the room service between day 1 and 2 could be better. Rest of the stay the conditions were good. Dinner was kind of expensive for a limited buffet. Parking was a disaster. They lack control of which car is parked where. We had cars parked on handicapped spots, on charging without charging, took 2 spots with 1 car and other places that they shouldn't. 9 out of 10 car that didn't follow the customs were Danish or Swedish. "We enjoyed our stay at Wood Hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The view was amazing. Breakfast was wonderful. We also dined at the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed that as well. Our only issue what that the shower drained very slowly. Since the shower was the same level as the floor, the water soon spread across the whole bathroom. We notified the front desk and I am sure the drain will be clear before the next guest. "

"On my visit to Norway I looked for a property close to where I was working. As a keen golfer I noticed the property advertised an on site golf course and driving range. This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. When I enquired about the facility’s I was told the nearest course was over 20 minutes away. This was really disappointing. The property didn’t have an electric charge point either. This has really put me off using hotels.com again now as I don’t know what to expect from the advertised rooms. The room didn’t look anything like the advertised room and it definitely wasn’t a queen bed. The room temperature couldn’t be adjusted and the room was very basic and not what I was expecting for the price I paid. "
