"The Crescent Guest House was very good. It was in a very good area, close to many attractions in York as also to restaurants and cafes, especially Bettys Tea Room!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will go back to the Crescent Guest House when I plan to go to York again in the near future. Robert Reid."

"Me and the wife stayed here for her graduation and we loved it, the building is decorated with the history of the building in mind, bed is extremely comfy, location is in walking distance for everything, there’s no parking but Marygate is only a ten minute walk, we were woken at 6:30am due to people throwing kegs outside but that couldn’t be helped, overall we would stay again, we loved it."

"The property is well presented with good parking. The room was spacious, clean and had good amenities. The property is about a mile from the city centre . There is a regular bus service into the city which has stops near to guest house. "

"Great find, easy 5 min walk into York. Old building but clean. Beds were comfortable. Easy to check in and out. Tea and coffee facilities and a bottle of water each were a nice touch."

"We really enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and calming, the trees blowing in the wind around us was a calming lovely sound. Our only issue was the kettle leaking every time you poured a drink and the fitted sheet was not big enough for the bed as soon as got on the bed it came off the mattress when trying to put back on you could get one side down but it pulled it away from other end so bigger fitted sheet and definitely deeper fit other than this it was amazing and just what we needed "

"Been greated by the door men/concierge, checking in and been shown to your room was lovely and welcoming. All the staff are friendly and happy to have a conversation. Breakfast is very comprehensive and first class. The rooms are large ,well appointed and the bed very comfortable. Any issues are dealt with immediately to your satisfaction. The spa is just great and everything works properly. We would certainly go again and recommend it to anyone. "
