"We never stayed in a hotel in the UK before this trip, always in B&Bs. This was a lovely stay. The reception was a large open sitting area adjacent to a dining room for breakfast. A small bar was open beside the reception desk. Each staff member was kind, courteous, and patient with Americans who were unfamiliar with cultural differences. Housekeeping was very thorough and came to our room every day to make our bed, even when we did not call them..We did not request towels but we were offered fresh towels after 3 days, most hospitable. Since we were there in December, we were concerned about the heating, but we needed not to worry. Since we are from the Southern USA, we get warm quickly, so we dialed back the heat in the rooms and asked for an extra sheet to add to the bed, separate from the duvet. I would suggest that facecloths be added to the regular towels. Also, hair conditioner must be added because the hard water makes combing difficult. The rooms were a good size, but we were staying for 10 days, and HIE had no storage for our clothing for that many days other than 5 hangers for 2 people. However, as the room has ample room at one end for a chest of drawers, might I suggest adding one, even if one must walk around the bed to open it? Is it not better to have inconvenient storage than no storage at all? Breakfast was good every day! We hoped to do laundry ourselves, but HIE contracts it. Over 2 quid to wash a pr of socks?! Umm, no."

"It was a totally different hotel experience - in a good way! We were greeted in a lovely lounge/bar by a friendly member of staff. Everything was very modern and fresh. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and retro decorated. Bed was sooooo comfortable! Overall a great stay."

"This was great value for money. Check in was smooth, plenty of parking and friendly staff. Comfy bed, hot shower and a wide range of food offered at breakfast. A car is probably essential to get around."

"Just had a lovely weekend away with hubby. Chose this hotel for location as visiting friends in one direction and Bletchley Park in the other. It was perfectly situated and is a really nice hotel! Clean, modern, spacious rooms. Showers lacked power and bedding was a little rough, but beds themselves were comfortable. We had a view overlooking Campbell Park and Willen Lake, which from the 5th floor, was beautiful. Breakfast was good and Sky Bar / restaurant is wonderful on 14th floor. Felt very upmarket! Staff across the hotel are very friendly and helpful too. Being nextdoor to a decent shopping centre was too tempting. Found two brilliant restaurants locally as well (Shoulder of Mutton and Warbler on the Wharf) within 15 minutes from the hotel. We'd happily return to Hotel La Tour! Thank you for having us!"
